What inspired you to become a hair stylist?
After studying art in high school and academically for 2 years at Tuks I found that I was extremely unhappy. I started hair dressing as a way to express my creativity. My mother had a salon at the time and spending some time with her stylists had flared my passion and a decision was made.
What inspires you?
I find inspiration in education and on social media. I enjoy attending new courses every year and closely monitor the trends across the world. I especially enjoy using unusual colours in hair; pink, blue, green and yellow to create ‘mermaid hair’ and interesting ombres. Some of my favourite Instagram accounts include @guytang @platinumperfection and @mermaidians and @larisadoll.
